This passage gives a clear view of the progression of evil within the lives of men. We see:
Rejection of God as the creator
Purposefully turning to idols to replaçe god
God leaves them
Lust takes over, specifically sexual lusts
Then all manner of evil moves in.
Worthy death

It is not hard though see parallels to this I recent American history. The progress started with acceptance of Darwin and evolution to replace reaction, and we are now in the front nap stage as a nation..
