About Daily Devotionals

What is the purpose?

Daily readings of scripture helps to keep our thoughts focused on our walk with Christ in daily life. Building a life is much like building a brick wall. Each brick laid one at a time alongside another. The wall gets taller and stronger with each brick. These devotionals are like the bricks of life, each one adding strength and depth to our daily life and walk with Christ.

Best Way to Use Devotionals

In a word, daily! Each day read one and only one devotional, at the start or end of the day. Let the concepts of that one rest in your thoughts as the Holy Spirit brings understanding and comprehension. The Holy Spirit is the teacher that takes the words and produces understanding, but this takes time. Reading too many at once can overwhelm our understanding and cause shallowness. Let each rest in your thoughts for a day and slowly sink into your heart.

Share with Family and Friends

Each devotional has within it share buttons, little icons under the graphic on the right. Use these buttons to share that one devotional across social media. It's a quick and easy way to share the light of Christ!
